Residential Architecture

A home is arguably the most crucial asset in any person’s life. It isn’t merely a place to reside, but an adobe one returns to after a tiring day, a place where memories are made; and a place where dreams are conceived.

Having such sheer importance in a person’s life, it’s extremely important to hire a qualified and experienced residential architect firm that can help to manifest your ideas and desires into tangible reality.

We can help create the house of your dreams.

How Our Residential Architecture Process Works

Whether you’re planning for a residential renovation or building a house from scratch, the steps in the architectural process stay more or less the same. That said, let’s focus on the crucial stages, one at a time:

Client-Briefing (Information Gathering)

Our residential architect design process starts by understanding you. We look at what your goals are when it comes to building your house, and set realistic expectations of our work.

At this stage, we discuss every aspect of your new house, including the number of rooms, traffic management, and other functional requirements.

Conceptualizing Designs

After we have a general idea of what you’re expecting of your new house, we start the design process.

At Dauntless, we love utilizing 3D modeling CAD (computer aided design) software to create a full rendering of the concept. This really brings the end product to life at the earliest stages of the project. Gone are the days of printed blueprints to build your house.

Conceptualizing the design involves hours of drawing and modeling, fine tuning the structure of the design, and exploring different avenues on how your house can be more organized and spacious.

The architectural work doesn’t merely end with the design. Post designing, we make sure to consult with the customer to make sure it matches their vision.

A contractor can use the help of the Schematics in estimating the construction cost of the project.

Construction Documents

If you’re planning to build a home, then you’ll need the proper documents.

The construction documents consist of:

  • construction drawings

  • Schematics

  • outline schedules

  • everything else that is necessary to obtain the permit and determine a credible construction price.

You’ll want to make sure the contractors has time to evaluate the design and make sure that everything is feasible. Sure, there may be great features included in the design, but if they aren’t realistic, the builder will run into trouble when it’s time to build.

Administration of the Construction

Once everything is agreed upon, and you’ve got all the necessary permits, your selected builder will start with site construction. But over time, your contractor would like to make some changes in the designs to either save you money or make the construction easier and more accessible.

You’ll need a knowledgeable representative from your end, answering queries about the intent of designs and calling the shots. It’s beneficial to have someone familiar with the design representing you, and that’s where Dauntless Collaborative continues to represent you in the home building process.

Ready to get started?

Not only do we utilize the best available resources, but we also ensure that your house is constructed in the same manner you envisioned it to be.

So, instead of opening a new tab and searching for ‘local architects near me,’ we’d like to hear from you and apply our process to your residential project.
