Linking Revit Files by the Shared Coordinate System

Now that we've covered how to insert a linked file by using the Project Base Point method, let's look at how the insertion differs using the Shared Coordinate System (SCS) method.  Not only can you move the Shared Coordinate System to get files to align with each other, that same system can either be acquired or published between the files being linked.

In the video the SCS is published, or given, to the other linked file.  The opposite can be done as well, in that you can acquire the coordinates from a file that you have linked into your own.  This comes in handy when linking multiple files, which will be covered in a future topic.
